PAM 210 Lecture 2 Prelim 2 Information Date: March 27th, 2008 Time: 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm (please arrive early) Room: 166 MVR Hall On Monday, March 24th, I am going to cover section 6.1 on confidence intervals. Lecture on Wednesday, March 26th will be devoted to your questions and my answers. The exam will cover all the material up to and including section 6.1. That is, the exam is cumulative . There is no way you can understand what we are doing now without coming to grips with basic definitions of probability, random variables, the distinction between independent versus mutually exclusive events etc. You are allowed to bring four pages of formulas or other notes to the exam (that is, either two sheets with writing on both sides or four sheets with writing on only one side or any other combination that stays under the limit). The sheets may contain any formulas or notes you wish to make but may not contain verbatim copies of any past or present quizzes, exams and/or homeworks. I would suggest including probability rules, random variable formulas,
