Western influence broughtknowledge of new crops to China and Japan, new opportunity for foreign trade andreligion as well as other aspects such as calendars, mathematics, and medicine.With Western Culture there was new religions brought to the Asian society.Western culture brought the religion of Christianity to China and Japan and it wasprohibited from these parts of the world. Although Western religion was not takenadopted by the Asian culture, they did find other aspects of the Western world as potentialworthy.
