What kind of information is NOT provided by microscopy: Function, concentration, mechanism of process c. Could you see a membrane bilayer with a 400 wavelenght immunoflourescence? Rule: ½ the wavelength gives resolution of 200 micrometers No. b/c membrane is 3.5 to 5.6 umeters This question will serve as a nice warm up question. It will force the students to look at there lecture notes and begin to think about microscopy in terms of their homework problem (due Jan 18 th ). It will also allow me to remind them not to procrastinate and begin reviewing there lecture notes as soon as possible. 2.
