Case Study 3: Project Control 1. What were the problems experienced? It appears that there were quite a few problems the UW System had. There were many problems of oversight, meaning that there was no procedure set in place to prevent security issues or financial over- payments and if there was, the procedures were not being followed as insurance premiums were over- paid and individuals were given access to system components that were inappropriate. It also appears that there were some flaws in their record keeping system that allowed for under and over estimations of monies paid. Another problem that I noticed was that they did not have adequately trained staff in order to compensate for the possibility of faculty leaving, which caused a few of the aforementioned er- rors. 2. What could have been done differently to avoid these problems?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
