Joshua Sipe Experience 1 I . Feelings/Description A. When we first started the experience I didn’t really think that we were doing an experience. It was a surprise that these simple 5 phrases turned into an experience that required deep thought. I thought that this exercise was different from any other that I had done in the past. During the middle of the experience I was analyzing each phrase with great thought and found myself coming up with many different meanings to each phrase. I enjoyed this experience because of its uniqueness and its simple ability for me to think. B. The class started out with us coming into class and sitting down. After the routine “how is the class doing” we proceeded to hear 5 phrases. The 5 phrases were as followed: A word is not a bird; once on the wing it can never be caught again One cannot not communicate The map contains the map maker It is the I behind the eye that does the seeing The same man can not step into the same river twice
