Credit Suisse: Case By: Cory Peterson and Jacob Willoughby 1. In the early years of the 21st century, the stock market crash hit banks hard, and Credit Suisse was one of them. During the 1990’s the economy was booming and everything was going well for the banks, but in 2001 the bubble finally burst. The economy collapsing lead to transactions and interest rates falling, assets shrinking, and investment banking revenues collapsing. As a result the bank’s cost structures were inefficient and were exposed. Staff layoffs became increasingly high and their cost/income ratios rose to 70-80 percent. In regards to Credit Suisse, their management team agreed that the supply management team would need to be one of the main drivers for cost saving initiatives. (Cory) 2. (Jacob) 3.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
