Explain each sampling technique discussed in the "Visual Learner: Statistics" in your own words, and give examples of when each technique would be appropriate.The visual learnerstatistics page discusses 5 types of sampling: cluster sampling, stratified sampling, simple random sampling, systematic sampling and convenience sampling. Cluster sampling is when the population which is being researched is split into separate groups also known as clusters; a simple random sample of the clusters is completed. For example, if a researcher were to perform a survey of the amount of students in extracurricular activities in the Tampa bay area, he would divide the population by counties creating clusters then select a few ofthose clusters and perform a simple random sample of these counties. Stratified sampling is when the population which is being researched split into separate groups also known as “Strata”; a simple random sample is then performed. For example, a researcher
