Before I can comment on whether Ifavor ethnocentrism or cultural relativism I wouldlike to go into depth on what both mean. Ethnocentrism is the tendency to look at the worldprimarily from the perspective of one’s own culture. Cultural relativism is the belief that theconcepts and values of a culture cannot be fully translated or fully understood in differentsettings other than the setting it derived from.I believe that I favor cultural relativism because no one system is better than another.Every culture is different and has different beliefs. In this generation, it is important tounderstand each different culture and everyone within this culture.
