Electoral system based on the premise of majority rule (implies the idea of competitive elections. i. Competitive organizations, hence the competition, hence we all get a choice d. The rule of law- those who make the law and enforce the law are subject to the law. They are not above the law. i. Status within society e. Political Legal- extensive class systems, dramatic even. At the very least there is political and legal equality i. What do we mean by political equalty? 1. We are equal at the balad box. Each of us have an equal impact on the system. 1 person, 1 vote. 2. Ability to be elected to public office, if we so choose 3. Equality of political influence, regardless of our income and status differences, we should be the same when it comes to influencing the outcome of politics. a. People who are wealthier than others will have a larger impact on politics. MONEY TALKS ii. Legal equality 1. All people regardless will be treated the same way by the law.
