Some things are  not groups  which seem to be Aggregates o People who have just so happened to gather around  o Not a cohesive group o At the bus stop o Movie theater Categories o i.e. tall women o people with long hair, etc. Groups People see themselves belonging to the group and they interact with one  another Several types of groups Primary groups o Small groups where you have a sense of belonging and idenitity and  you interact with this small group on a regular  o Gain a sense of social support
