Question 1 5 out of 5 points What kind of person do you find Bashō to be after reading his travel diary? Name some qualities that seem most applicable to the man who comes across in the work, and defend your choices. Selected Answer: 1. At one point, he remarks that "the thought of divine response evoked deep emotion" and begins to cry (610). He is deeply moved by the past, especially that which is recalled through art (613). He is also very attached to his friends. He cries when he leaves them at the beginning of his journey (608) and when Sora leaves him to go visit his relatives later on.
