Travis Marziani 11-18-07 Sims, S.A. (2007). Rape blame as a function of alcohol presence and resistance type. Oxford, 32(12), 2811-2823. Topic The main topic of this article is to analyze the response and reactions of participants when faced with Scenarios of women being raped under different conditions, when alcohol is present. Different scenarios were analyzed with different levels of resistance on the woman’s part being done Hypothesis The researchers hypothesized a couple different things would happen in the study. First they hypothesized that men would be more critical of the woman’s actions and be more likely to blame her partially for what happened, and women would think that it was more if not completely the mans fault and that alcohol was not an important factor in the rape. Researchers also thought that how a woman resisted the assault would have a big impact on how the participants would rate how much of the blame should be put on the woman. The last thing the researchers hypothesized was that the presence of alcohol
