PRO CLASH BRIEF PROPOSITION: RESOLVED: The United States should censor song lyrics. INTRODUCTION: Just imagine being in the car with your grandparents and even your parents. Perhaps the most important people in your life. You are finding the perfect song to listen to but as you pass through stations, you come across a song that is filled with explicit and inappropriate lyrics. Of course you know moms who are going to have their little “ahh’s” and “o0oh’s” once those lyrics are said. Now that’s awkward for you. Wouldn’t you want to listen to radio stations and feel secured that there isn’t going to be inappropriate lyrics on the air waves? Even when it comes to a C.D. C.D.s are filled with even more indecent lyrics. Either way, its kind of sad that we have to run to the stereo to lover down the volume instead of comfortably leaving the radio on knowing unnecessary song lyrics were going to be censored, That’s why I am here. To support the United States Government censoring song lyrics. Definition: There are two words that would first like to define. *Censorship is a situation where a government agency decides what may or may not be presented to the public under penalty of law. *Indecent basically means not decent, especially; grossly unseemly or offensive to
