Procedure - 1. Add 0.80mLs 95% ethanol to a conical vial. 2. Add 150mg of piperonal. 3. Add one equivalent of acetophenone and stir at room temperature. 4. While stirring, add 0.10mLs sodium hydroxide solution. *Solution to be prepared by instructor. (0.60g NaOH in 1mL water)
