Lane Vukovic Professor Callihan COM 2206 2 October 2015 Perceiving an Amazing Catch In the video Amazing Ball girl catch posted by Amanda Gaskill on YouTube one will notice that the video opens up to triple a ball game. The hitter drills the ball down the left side of the field heading in foul territory when all of a sudden the ball girl comes focused in on the camera and catches the ball in midair. Now yes one will say what’s the big deal she caught a ball anyone can do that, but it’s the way she catches the ball that makes it amazing. Imagine watching a Kung Fu movie and there is an intense battle going on and you see one of the characters jump from wall to another and spin off the wall. Well that is exactly what this ball girl did she jumped from one wall to the adjacent wall did a 180 spin and caught the ball. Some will also argue when they see this video whether or not it is real. This paper will use the three stage of the perception process to show why I believe the girl caught the ball.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
