What Affects My Behavior Health is being free from sickness and injury. Everyone wants to be healthy but more than half of the United States population is unhealthy. A lot of that comes from influences that surround you Hayden, J. (2009). For example: if you have a group of friends who parties all the time and never rests you will eventually adopt that lifestyle which is very strenuous on the body. A healthy person gets proper nutrition, drinks plenty of water, gets good rest, and has some type of physical activity going on. Your body is like a car it needs proper gas (Food), oil (rest), and maintaince (physical activity). With out the proper care as stated before your car would eventually quit working (death). When someone asks me do I think I am healthy the answer is NO!!!! In United States more than one-third of the population is obese (NIH 2016). I fall under the one-third of the population category. Starting with my eating habits I consume more junk foods: chips, candy, cakes, ice cream than I do vegetables. My typical day starts at four o’clock in the morning and ends around twelve o’clock the next morning. In between those hours eight to ten are spent at work and the rest are spent with my two-year-old son. During the day you are suppose to eat at least 5 meals (breakfast, two snacks, lunch, & dinner).
