Grant Casserly Comm 2600 2/15/08 The World of a Corporate Company As I was taking field notes I realize that is was really hard to figure out the what difference it made to being a corporate company over a privately owned or franchised company. The atmosphere and visual feel of the restaurant was definitely different but I need to ask employees what they thought to really prove my point. While observing the restaurant operating, I could pick out some good example of a corporate experience. First off, every server was dressed in “white shirt, red tie, black pants, black shoes, black socks, black apron, black belt, and name tag” (Samantha). Everything had to be exactly the same or the worker was in trouble. This demonstrates a sense of perfectionism. My initial reactions to the environment where interesting. Co-workers are gathered in the corner to start their shift. Everyone is getting ready; cooks are in the back preparing food for the rush. Cutting vegetable and things like that up as well as preparing
