Capstone Project Capstone Project Sundries The following report is not concerned with salary prospects, or every position available, as it is either not of interest as much as the joy of the work the career affords personally. I am striving for this report to reflect where I am in a process we started numerous weeks ago, but to also provide a snapshot of the most important pieces that have crossed my view, and will help me when I return to it, which I whole heartedly expect to do. While many positions warrant mention because of their importance to the specialty, or area of psychology on the whole, others are simply repetitive, and unusual towards the end of identifying true potential careers for the writer. Nor does leaving them out signify a lack of knowledge. More important is that much information will be shared about the exercise that actually did provide clarity and scope towards career options in the best way for the writer, and with insight, knowledge was gained that allowed for further conversations with peers and other professionals. It is also easy to make a general statement of knowledge that for most clinical, research, academia, consultant and management positions within any psychology specialty careers above the capacity of assistant, requires a graduate or doctoral degree, inclusive of specialized training within a certain field. Most of the careers assigned to Personality psychologists are in the realm of research, academia and consultation within the private sector, making graduate and doctoral degrees a requisite. Both psychologies have career possibilities within marketing, product development, politics and human resources recruitment. Learning about personality psychology gave me an important insight in regards to counseling not being a component of it. Week Two: Biopsychology, Cognitive Neuropsychology, and Clinical Neuropsychology Biopsychology encompasses such a large and general scope that the field is mainly full of researcher or academic arenas in order to further its study. Cognitive neuropsychology deals with the brain and its functions, which are broken down into specialties based on those areas, as they have different functions. It also incorporates a

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
