Giovanna Hamilton Mrs. Haynes Honors English 10 20 October 2014 The success of revenge Alexandre Dumas is the author of The Count of Monte Cristo , which is about a man named Edmond Dantes who had perfect life then his life drastically changes in a course of events. From where he is getting framed for treason by the people he trusted the most. So Dantes is sent to prison with no real explanation of why he is there, while in the prison he meets an old man Abbe Faria who reveals the people who framed him. Dantes escaped from prison after 14 years and gets revenge on the people who betrayed him by reviving himself by becoming someone like The Count who will get his revenge in the worst way possible one by one. The best revenge is capitalizing on your opportunities to put a plan in place and the success of seeing it through. In the story we see Edmond Dantes while still in prison transform from a young and naive man to a calculating mastermind. He changes his identity to get closer to those who wronged him over the years to put his plan in to action. With the
