Mrs. Steward reported that she has been experiencing frequent urination, weight loss despite increased appetite, fatigue, and blurred vision. The patient past obstetric history includes complications due to late prenatal care and a vaginal delivery of an 8lb,14oz. female infant at 38 weeks’ gestation, 6 years ago, in Miami, Florida. The patient family history reveals father and grandmother of patient has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Report: The patient reported that she has been experiencing frequent urination, weight loss despite increased appetite, fatigue, and blurred vision. Her height:5’1”, weight:240lb, Temperature:98.7 and Vital Signs: BP 140/90 mmHg; uterine size is appropriate for gestational age.
