Reflections on 7-Habits of Highly Effective People After spending time analyzing “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey, there is much to be learned from it that can enhance a person’s effectiveness in all aspects of life. Personally, I can apply many of the material it describes into my life, particularly as an engineering student. While the ideas of the book are simple and may seem like common sense, they should always be remembered. Following these habits although not step by step will allow oneself to experience a more fulfilling and effective life. I will now describe some of the material that I found most interesting and which I can begin to improve upon. An illustration that a group presentation made was pouring sand into a jar. The presenter held up a few large rocks and shows that there is no more capacity in the jar for any larger rocks. First, only big, important rocks should fill up the jar. Only then can you add whatever sand will fill in the remaining space.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
