Chemical Thinking P3 S1 Pre-Lab Worksheet v1.1 | Project 3 Session 1 Pre-Lab Worksheet GRADE ____ /10 p All work must be very neat and organized . If your penmanship is poor, you must type all responses. If you need to organize your thoughts, please use a separate sheet of paper. Graphing (4 p) [Note: this question is design to help you with Task 2 – NOT Task 1 , which is qualitative.] Assume we have two groups, Group A and Group B, both studying the effect of 0.1 M lithium hydroxide (LiOH) on the light output of activated orange glow sticks. Both are using the same orange glow sticks and start with the same volume of activated glow stick solution. Further, the same emission spectrometer is employed to capture the intensity data (for this lab, intensity is treated as unit-less). Group A’s data is presented to left, while Group B’s appears at right. 0 200 400 600 800 1000 1200 0.00E+00 1.00E-02 2.00E-02 3.00E-02 4.00E-02 5.00E-02 6.00E-02 7.00E-02 8.00E-02 9.00E-02 1.00E-01 f(x) = - 0x + 0.05 R² = 0.46 Intensity vs Volume: Group A Volume Intensity In Excel separately plot the data (Intensity vs. Volume) for Group A. Then do the same for Group B. Paste or sketch in both graphs below.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
