Experimental Design and Procedure Materials 350 µL of 9-10 Bis (Phenylethynyl) anthracene in ethanol 2.5 mL of Red glow stick solution (2 red glow sticks) 1 20 mL Vial 1 1 dram Vial Mass Spectrometer with Logger Pro Forceps 1 5 mL syringe 1 20-200 µL micropipette Procedures 1. With your materials gathered, take two red glow sticks and break them in order to activate the solution inside and empty the contents into a 20 mL Vial. 2. Using the forceps remove any glass debris in the vial 3. Using the 5 mL syringe, extract 2.5 mL of the red glow stick solution and place it into a 1 dram vial for use.
