Problems with the hypothesis o Wild wolves are very difficult to tame or train and selectively breed o “stone age people didn’t have chain link fences to selectively breed dogs- against their will” The “Cute” Response Attraction to animals that retain infantile features into adulthood. o Example- pandas and bambi This “cute” response is likely to stem from an attraction to babies o Large eyes and a large head stimulate a care giving response Neoteny - retaining infantile features into adulthood.
