Previous knowledge or experience of debating will help you to prepare your thoughts and logically present the argument to be one that is valid. Debating skills include: f organising your thoughts into chronological order for presenting f the use of supporting statements f developing strategic arguments for your point over other viewpoints f listening and respecting opposing viewpoints: • addressing these with agreement or disagreement • counteracting these overall and showing how these do not hold up against your own.
