To achieve competency in this unit, a person must be able to: 1. Maintain asset register 2. Record general journal entries for balance day adjustments 3. Prepare final general ledger accounts 4. Prepare end of period financial reports Description of Assessment This assessment requires students to respond to three tasks: Task 1: Theory question and practise question. Students are required to answer short question to maintain the asset register and record general journal entries for balance day adjustments. Task 2: Practise question - Requires the student to apply all the necessary adjustment entries to provided trail balance , maintain the asset register , prepare the final general ledger accounts and then produce end of period financial reports. Task 3: Practise question - Students are required to calculate and record the journal entry of assets depreciation under the three different methods. Task 4: requires students to prepare presentation to guide a small company to maintain asset register , record general journal entries for balance day adjustments, prepare final general ledger accounts, prepare end of period financial reports.
