It was helpful to have the different types of belts in front of me sothat I could see a real example of the different types of belts. It was also helpful to see the difference between the Actual and Theoretical speed ratios. I would still like if the labs were more hands on and experiment based.Real World ApplicationsBelts can be used on many different types of machines in the world. It is very beneficial to see how they operate. Just a few weeks ago I had to repair a treadmill in which the belt slipped off. It would have been beneficial to already know how the belts operated inside. Belts are seen on a ton of different machines and knowing about how they operate could help you very much when dealing with mechanical issues. Exercise 1:
