Re:
Lab 2: Fundamentals 2
Conclusion/recommendations
The lab successfully allowed me to see the different types of levers and pulleys as well as
allowed me to see the different ways they could be used in real world settings to improve the
efficiency of work. These systems make work much more efficient and allow the operator to use
less effort to complete the job. It can make an item that takes multiple people to move into an
easy task that takes minimal time and man power.
Real World Applications:
Levers and pulleys are seen everywhere in today’s world. The simple act of using a door is
using a lever. Shops and warehouses would be wasting so much storage use without pulley
systems to load heavy items onto shelves. We see levers to make yard work easier in hedge
clippers and wheel barrows. Although the lever and pulley seem like such a basic and simple
idea, the list for applications that make the everyday life much easier is too long to list in a short
memo.
