Telephone: 863-3795 E-Mail: Course Objectives: The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the fundamentals of marketing management. The course entails an overall view of the principles and components of marketing and the marketing concepts. This course is designed to serve dual purposes. First, for those students who will never take another marketing course, it is intended to serve as a means of exposure to marketing concepts. Second, it is intended to prepare those students that require an understanding of the marketing process as part of their major. The course was designed with breadth of material rather than depth in mind. Each topic area is presented in a general rather than an in-depth manner. Text: MKTG Lamb, Hair McDaniel Thompson, Southwestern Publishing Power Point Lecture Slides will be posted on Angel Attendance: Attendance will be taken. Students with qualifying attendance history will receive 2 points of extra credit. Although attendance is not considered to be mandatory (no points will be deducted for missed classes), it will be considered in determining final grades for students that have exam results that are close to the next grade level. The instructor reserves the option of considering both class participation and attendance in determining final grade averages. Students missing class on a regular basis will receive no consideration for any extra-credit requests to achieve mandatory grade requirements. Grading:
