Organizational Pattern: Monroe motivated sequence (Problem-solution) Introduction I. Attention Step a. Every year there is an event to raise money for people in Vietnam b. The event is called Hoi Cho and I volunteer every year through my temple c. Hoi Cho is Vietnamese for Spring Event d. Fun volunteer work that leads to food and shelter for other people Transition: This is an event that I look forward to every year because it’s not only about the fun but it is for a good cause Body II. Need Step a. Raise money for unlucky people in Vietnam b. Vietnam’s standard of living ranks among the lowest in the world (Cavendish, 2002) c. My experience there when I was 15 was one of the most emotional times
