Unformatted text preview: Lab 5 1. We turned on the oscilloscope. 2. We followed the set up procedures in our lab book to prepare the oscilloscope for measurements in this lab 3. We connected the output power supply (+) and (-) to the CH 1 input of the oscilloscope with a BNC to banana plug cable. 4. We increased the output voltage of the power supply from zero to 10 volts. 5. We observed that as we turned the volt meter the line on the screen moved up and the Cyc RMS showed how many volts the power supply was putting out. 6. When we changed the volt/div settings we noticed it just changed the Y (vertical) scale of the graph. 7. When we reversed the lead to the power supply we noticed that the volt bar moved down as we turned it the voltage up. Look at Sketch A 8. For the next part we disconnect the power supply and placed it aside. 9. For the next part we look at the figures 5-3 to 5-6 and recorded there voltage and frequency....
