Run two contained 5 mL of oxalic acid but no sulfuric acid. This produced acolor that was a bright pink at first but gradually turned into a more subtle shade of the samecolor. The third trial was the most interesting of this set because it saw the most change. This runhad both sulfuric and oxalic acid. At first the color was as vibrant as run one but soon dulled untilit went completely clear.E. The third reaction was different in that it turned to a clear colorwhich indicated thatthe reaction went to completion. This also showed that the KMnO(aq) was completely₄consumed since it is what produced the purple/ pink hue. The presence of both H2SO4(aq) andKMnO4(aq) are what caused this reaction to differ than the first two. The changes seen in runtwo and three were relatively fast though not instantaneous.
