Proliferation 1980-88 Iran Iraq war 800,000 were killed 10% of the Iraqi adult males were involved in the military 10% of the US would be 30 million The cost of war is enormous F-15 Jet fighter costs the same as a community hospital One Trident Nuclear class submarine costs the same as 100 modern schools If you look around the country, you’ll notice that a lot of the schools need repair One Nuclear Aircraft Carrier cost the same as a 4 year budget of the united nations 2.5 million small homes This world has an incredible ability to purchase weapons and sell weapons US has given weapons to Jordan, Israel, Egypt 190 billion in weapons either given or sold to foreign countries Most of them have been obsolete to the US but still very useful to poor countries US has huge trade deficits There are also many weapons that the US doesn’t sell Pursing missile, Israel wanted but the US didn’t sell Gulf war 1991
