In order to understand a countries situation in regards to poverty one must understand the Global System of Capital and how it works. The Global System of Capital refers to how economies around the world work and are inter-dependent. Trading of goods among nations helps keep the economy strong while also having a mutual benefit to both countries giving them each something they need but cant produce or cant produce enough of. There are many things that determine how this global system operates and flows including components such as international aid, debt, structural adjustment programs and the debt crisis that looms over many poverty stricken and poor countries today. There are 3 different types on international aid, they: bilateral, which is grants negotiated directly between one country and another, this type accounts for the majority of aid at almost 70%, the next type is multilateral, which is grants provided by international agencies such as the UN and the World Bank. The third type is tied grants,
