Political Science 1011 American Government and Politics Spring 2008 Dr. Garrick Percival Exam #2 Study Guide Below are terms and concepts you should know for the second exam, scheduled for Friday April 18 th . Questions for the exam will be drawn from lecture and assigned chapters 9-10, 13-15 in the Fiorina and Peterson text, in addition to the other assigned readings on electronic reserve. When studying each of these terms, place your emphasis not only on their meaning, but also their significance in relation to the American political process, institutions, and intergovernmental relations (i.e. how governing institutions shape policy and the political forces that constrain their actions). I have also tried to group the terms together in a fashion similar to how they were presented in class. When studying be sure to ask yourself how they are related to each other and their significance . As always, if you have any questions please ask. Study hard and good luck.
