Tommy Zhang Mrs. Hodges AP CAPSTONE 23, September, 2015 Annotated Bibliography: The Water Crisis The water crisis is one of the most important issues that the current and future generation needs to address in order to survive and prosper. Compared to food and energy, the water crisis is a much harder issue to address due to the politics involved as well as the fact that no alternatives are present. After all, one couldn’t simply drink “bug juice” or “nuclear water” as both are potentially hazardous to ones’ health. However, despite the current issue of a “water crisis”, many first world countries are not plagued with the problem as the countries in the Middle East. Thus, the question arises, should policies be implemented in order to solve the water crisis in the Middle East? Kasinof, Laura. "At Heart of Yemen's Conflicts: Water Crisis." Laura Kasinof provides an interesting insight on the reasons behind the political turmoil and violence happening in Yemen. Using a variety of sources to back up the claim that the conflict is resulted from water scarcity in Yemen, Laura explains the harsh scarcity of water in the region. The article is very credible as the correspondent who wrote this article is a freelance journalist and thus, does not have any obvious corporate or political ties with any organizations.
