Most people in the workplace will experience conflict in the organization, and no one is exempt. The healthcare is one of the highest industry experience conflict from people experiencing stress, diversity and cultural issues, and excessive regulation. The dispute in the workplace can emerge in numerous forms such as conflict with colleagues, conflict among leadership, and conflict with direct management. Once a conflict occurs it is important to properly approach the issue in a short term time frame to avoid tension and frustration among each other allowing the issue to resolve. Throughout this paper, it will identify two scenarios of conflict on miscommunication and culture diversity while using the problem-solving model. This paper will also describe a process for leaders to promote change within the organization once the conflict has occurred. Scenario one In the first scenario, the internist was upset for not receiving his patient X-ray report early verbally from the radiologist. The internist was disappointed by expressing his frustration with raising his voice at the radiologist. When a colleague raises their voice, the most appropriate reaction is to remain calm and try not to react right away. The integrative model would be appropriate conflict resolution to incorporate with the issue because it promotes an environment of collaboration and focuses on cooperation.
