“As generally understood, the culture of a society comprises the shared values,
understandings, assumptions, and goals that are learned from earlier generations, imposed by
present members of a society, and passed on to succeeding generations” (Deresky, 2014, p. 74).
Because of the differences in cultures in countries all around the world, doing international
business will have challenges. Learning the cultural variables of the country you are doing
business with will help to ensure a more successful relationship. There are also things that you
need to know about the cultural differences that would help you open a subsidiary, hire staff, and
manage it for your corporation in another country. Today we will discuss how to do this in
