The Needs of College Students 3 Throughout the history of college student learning has evolved. As previously, I have stated that the student while attending college is the customer and product. In higher education, it is our job as leaders of the institution to learn and understand the demands and help create opportunities. Graduation rates have decreased over the past years. Students learning does not just fall short at the hands of the students. According to Altbach, Colleges and Universities are said to be inefficient and focused on the wrong things; many admit poorly prepared students primarily to generate revenue. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
