Purpose The objective of the experiment was to examine the acidic and basic properties of many different aqueous solutions and to determine the pH of the different solutions. Litmus paper and a pH meter were used. Procedure Refer to pages 10-12 in laboratory notebook for the Investigation of Household Acids and Bases experiment. I was not able to test the acidity of bleach because there was an insufficient amount of bleach for the experiment. Calculations

The use of litmus paper and a pH meter were practiced. The results of this lab are in the above chart. The hydrogen ion concentration of each of the solutions was found and recorded above as well. Possible sources of error would be not cleaning the sensors, not swirling the solution completely around the sensors, or not completely submerging the sensor in the solution.
