Unformatted text preview: Jenine Hajjar 10.29.2007 Version 4.1 School Shootings How did it happen that a place where you send your children every day to be protected and educated turned into a place of fear? It’s the sad truth that kids go to school and can’t feel safe. Over a short period of 10 years there have been over 70 school shootings all across America. In 2003 there were a total of 17 school shootings. How have children gained access to these weapons? What is it like to be safely in your classroom and have fear erupt? The students to the right are running away from the sounds of gunshot. Children go to school to learn, not to be in danger. If parents wanted their kids to be shot at then they wouldn’t make them go to school. It’s extremely upsetting that there have been so many school shootings. Where is this gun promotion coming from? What is wrong with the picture to the right? It’s just a picture to the right?...
