Assessment 2: Network Technology Concepts Network Architecture Capella University Professor House 3/12/2023
There are many basic concepts to network technology. These concepts include the topology or layout of the network, the type of network whether it be wired or wireless. There are a lot other types of topologies not including the layout of cables the network itself. There are peer to peer and client server networks. Peer to peer networks are networks where all machines have equal status there is not machine that has more rights or privileges than another. This is an easy network because no administrator is required to manage it. This however would not be secure for a hospital set up. The client server is more secure and would be the setup for the hospital network because it gives the ability for the network to be controlled given the sensitive nature of the data collected. This would be maintained by an administrator and will have permissions and different user accounts for each employee and so on. There are many network infrastructure components. One of these components is an equipment rack, sometimes known as a network rack. This is a frame that holds many computer network and server devices. The equipment racks can hold several different types of equipment used for a network including switches, routers, and modems. A demarcation point or demarc is the point of demarcation, or the physical point where the public switched network ends and a
