In this article, he argues about the conflict ideas between nature and wildness. He thinks the concepts of wildlife have become a problem because people cannot understand the true meaning of what nature really is. “When wildness is conflated with wilderness, and wilderness with nature, and nature is seen as something separate and uninfluenced by human activity, perhaps it’s time to examine real situations and test them against the semantics of modern conservation” (661 Dowie). He reveals that his goal isto expose the wildness aspect of the environment. His target audience was intended to be both females and males that are over 25 years old. Dowie targeted audiences’ education level would be at least in high school and college level. These audiences would be anthropologists, naturalist, and wildlife biologist, because they are the people who show more interests in environmental issues. He captures the attention of the audiences by describing how the favored impressions of the worldviews and the nature are preconceptions.
