It is a way for governments to control the state using a centralized and dictatorship method without any respect for human rights. A distinct feature of totalitarian governments is that the system is autocratic which gives the ruler or dictator absolute power. They remain in power through techniques including state control of mass media, education, and economy. The question still remains whether the possibilityof a perfect totalitarianism society can exist, and whether or not the complete opposite is desirable.The opposite of a totalitarian system is a decentralized and democratic system.
