OPTIC FIBERS IN AVIONICS 2 TO: FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: Analytical report on optic fiber in avionic Over a period of time aircraft communication have developed a need to create a bandwidth for both aerospace and onboard networking of their aircraft. There are two types of cables used in aircraft communication, that is, standard coaxial cables and fiber optic cables, however, traditional wire cables are been replaced by fiber optic cables. Fiber optic cables use a wave of light in the transmission of the communication. Optic cables are light and produce a wide bandwidth as compared to wire cables. According to the report taken from National Aeronautics and Space Administration ( NASA), optic fibers cables have numerous advantages over standard cables in such a way they are not affected by environments near seas and high humid area as optic fibers do not corrode. However, materials used to make optic fibers are weak and can break easily. Optics fibers have been installed into unmanned crafts by NASA in the exploration of space. The installation of optic fibers into big aircraft has not yet been discovered. The appetite to develop optics with greater bandwidths has increased according to a research from information Gatekeepers Inc. (IGI) of Boston. Due to this rise of the complexity of

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
