The osculum is where water flows out, the ostia are tiny pores where water comes in, and the spongocoel is where the central cavity is. 3. Good sponges that function other than a cleaning tool are sponges that provide shelter for many aquatic organisms. It can also be an available habitat where small fish or plankton can live. Exercise 1C - Exploring Clad Cnidaria 1. When observing coral skeletons, there are tiny living organisms that live in the tiny holes that serve as habitats for many aquatic organisms. Exercise 1D - What does it mean to have a coelom?
