Attitude Activity 5 1. Write three statements you would want each speaker at your funeral to make about you. a. Friend i. He was the most amicable, funny, gregarious and considerate person I’ve ever met. ii. He was always hospitable to his guests. iii. He loved to cook. b. Parents i. He made us proud when he got into UT. ii. He was the son every parents want. iii. He never let us down. c. Teacher i. He was a procrastinator, however always managed to finish his work. ii. He likes to joke around, however he does it out of love. iii. He made everyone around him comfortable. Activity 11 2. Academic and Occupational goals a. Academic Goal: My academic goal is to make it on the Deans List. i. My enabling goal would to go to class and take good notes. ii. My enabling goal is to study a week prior to a test and teach others so I can reinforce my own knowledge. b. Occupational goal: My occupational goal is to make a substantial salary i. My enabling goal is to graduate with a BS in Economics, and then go back to graduate school for my masters. ii. My enabling goal is to use my social skills in order to create a vast network for myself. Activity 16 3. I am in college because: a. I’m the first in my family to attend a university. b. I want to be able to provide for my family. c. I want to be educated and be respected by my peers. d. I want to have a head start in life, and education will help get me there. e. I want to meet people.
