2 Research Study Evaluation Today we will be discussing the Spillover and crossover effects of working time demands on work-life balance satisfaction among dual-earner couples: the mediating role of work-life conflict from the National Library of Medicine. We will discuss the purpose of the study. We will determine if the research design is consistent with the purpose of the study. We will show the evidence that scientific methods were applied in this study. We will show what ways the study can be applied in the real world. We will provide suggestions. Lastly, we will show if the research adhered to the APA Ethical Standards for Research Purpose of the Study The purpose of this study was to examine the spillover and crossover effects of working time demands-specifically, work contact in leisure time, evening work, and long work hours- on work-life balance satisfaction in dual-earner couples. The study asked (a) whether high working time demands impaired work-life balance satisfaction due to work-life conflict, and (b) whether workers high working time demands also affected their partners satisfaction with work-life balance through workers and/or their partners work-life conflict (Lott & Wohrmann, 2022).
