One way the European trading goods affected the Native Americans’ lives was by trading fur. The trade of fur was important and it played a big role in developing the United States. They killed the animals for food and fur and traded their goods with the settled Europeans. The Native hunters traded deer skin for to use for different things such as clothes. They also traded metal tool such as hoes and knives. Another way it affected the Native American lives is that the traditional way of hunting for their food supply became less important but focused more on trading animal skins. The Native American became dependent on the European items for their everyday needs. When they started to bring in new goods to trade it changed the Native American lives. The book states
