2 Response to “Do Not Go Into That Good Gentle Night” “Dylan Thomas was a world famous author who took his creativity and impressive use of imagery to bring his writings to life. In his poem, “Do Not Go into That Good Gentle Night” is a poem in which he wrote for his father. Thomas used several literary elements that impacted his work and brought it to life in front of the reader. It focuses on death and inevitability of it. It is a relatable poem. Losing a parent, family member, friend, or even a pet is something that a lot of people can relate to. In Thomas’s poem, referring to death as gentle Dylan Thomas’s poem, “Do Not Go into That Good Gentle Night” is a poem that focuses on death approaching. It is a short poem consisting of six units however, the poem has a strong meaning and theme.
